High Degree AV Block in Infants

نویسندگان

چکیده

Background: Atrioventricular (AV) block in children may pose a challenge for phycisians. However, it can be detected with careful physical examination.
Case illustration: A 4 month old infant presented bradycardia that did not improve during observation period. Her electrocardiography (ECG) showed complete atrioventricular and her echocardiography secundum atrial septal defect (ASD) patent ductus arteriosus (PDA). father’s ECG first degree AV block. She was recovered well after pacemaker implantation PDA ligation.
Conclusion: An who suffered from successfully treated pacemaker.

Second-degree AV block.

Second-degree AV block includes a variety of conduction patterns of variable prognostic significance. Careful analysis of the pattern of PR and R-R intervals, the QRS axis and duration, as well as the presence or absence of structural heart disease should allow the medical director to assess the applicant's risk for life insurance.

Concealed AV junctional extrasystoles simulating second-degree sinoatrial block.

Concealed AV junctional extrasystoles are described which, conducted in a restrograde manner to the sinoatrial junction, interfere with sinus impulses, thus simulating a second-degree, 2:1, sinoatrial block.

Second degree AV block and severely impaired contractility in cardiac myxedema: a case report

The heart is a major target organ for thyroid hormone action. Severe overt hypothyroidism can result in diastolic hypertension, lowered cardiac output, impaired left ventricular contractility and diastolic relaxation, pericardial effusion and bradycardia. However, the function of the atrial pacemaker is usually normal and the degree by which the heart rate slows down is often modest. Here we re...

Cardiac trauma and third degree AV block in a dog following a road accident.

A nine-and-a-half-year-old dog was referred for investigation of bradycardia after being hit by a car. Electrocardiography revealed a third degree atrioventricular (AV) block. The dog died during a syncopal attack. Post mortem examination revealed an atrial septal tear with haemorrhage and myocardial degeneration affecting the AV bundle.

AV block after flutter ablations?

The electrocardiogram in Fig. 1 shows a sinus rhythm of approximately 60 beats/min with two widely separated Pwave components. This reflects significant atrial conduction delay. The first three beats in Fig. 2 are similar to Fig. 1 with two distinct components, as shown by an asterisk and arrow in Fig. 3. However, the fourth P-wave only consists of the initial deflection (marked by an asterisk)...
